Vanity Academic Journals are removed from the list of Top Journals, 2017

We have checked the list for all journals manually again for the year 2017 for the area of computer science and electronics. Unfortunately, we have removed the following 8 journals as they have started forcing authors to pay a publishing fee and therefore becoming a vanity press. This is not to infer that fully open access publishers are predatory but I trust that most of them are due to their unethical business practices at the expenses of academic research. Most of these publishers are corrupt, mediocre and exist only to make money from authors willing to pay article processing charges when their papers are accepted by non-academic staff. This post is not to judge the reputation of Hindawi but paying over $1750 for your hard work to be published, is a day light extortion. Again, the editorial process of those publishers is questionable in addition to the absence of highly respected Editor-in-Chiefs. This is regardless if they brag about having an impact factor !
